Yesterday you ended the day by visiting two families, interviewing them and collecting medicals and financial information from them. Ms. Dane, one of the foster parents you collected documents from asked that you return her medicals to her, or at least give her copies of them. to which you agreed. 


You arrive at the office the following morning:


There are two new referrals on your desk. The phone is blinking indicating you have a message, and there is a sticky note on your computer stating that you must appear in court at 2:30 p.m. to give an update on the Mathew’s case. 


Put the below tasks in order of importance.  What tasks will you take care of first?


-Put new referrals in their own files with the names of the cases

-Listen to voice mail and respond to urgent call(s)

-File Ms. Dane’s documents

-File the other interviewed family’s information or documents

-Put Ms. Dane’s medicals in an envelope and place it in the out mail

-Put some or all of the interview of Ms. Dane onto the profile document

- Do benchmarks for new cases

-Put some or all of interview of other family onto the profile document

-Look at emails and respond to urgent email(s)

-Call each or send each DHS or CUA worker an email to introduce yourself and set up meeting or talk about the two new cases

-Get ready for court by reviewing or thinking about the case and what may be asked of you in court

-Send the two families Family Packets or introductory letters

-Tidy desk before leaving for court
